This series cropped up on my radar as the newest hot YA work and my god is the cover pretty. It looks like something straight out of a really pretty anime, and I love that; and the launch of any new book with a non-vampire or werewolf monster focus gets automatic kudos from me.

Unfortunately, a lot of the reviews have been coming in to say the series is very poorly written with the same plot focus on female submission (slash women-must-have-babies, slash marriage-is-the-only-thing) as made popular by novels like Twilight and is apparently also very heavily Christian fiction. And absolutely none of that appeals to me: DTR.
